The FIFTH ANNIVERSARY Serendipity and Tanasi Burners's EIGHTH regional burn will again be held at The Funny Farm, in Morrison, Tennessee over Memorial Day weekend, May 26-May 30, 2016. Our theme this year is Tranquility!
The Tranquility Theme:
As another year has come and gone, it is time for us to together take the next step on the path of enlightenment: Tranquility.
In years past, we have come through our Awakening to find a wonderful world and life of Discovery. Along our journey together we have felt driven to seek and improve, even through difficult times when all we had was Perseverance. Through those storms and troubles, we together found Happiness and learned that Happiness is a decision, not a mere place or thing.
With this knowledge that we have learned, we can now find peace in our lives and seek the harmony and balance of life that creates Tranquility, the theme of our fifth Serendipity. To understand Tranquility is to be at ease with ourselves and our surroundings with the many people in our great adventure. Tranquility gifts us with the ability to quiet our minds and routines and instead to better hear the contributions and words of others, which will help us in our walk along this path of enlightenment.
Your Art Donations are Critical:
In addition to effigies and temples which we fund out of the event budget, by matching your donations dollar for dollar at Serendipity 2015 we raised $1,400.00 for art grants! We can do better!
PLEASE consider making an "Additional Donation" when you purchase your invites -- those funds plus an equal amount that we free up from the event budget are what we give as art grants for projects and installations coming to the event!
ART GRANTS DO NOT HAPPEN WITHOUT YOU! Tanasi Burners -matches- your individual art donations to create the pool of money available for art grants. If you do not donate, then there is nothing available for traditional art grants.

NOTE: The Survival Guide will be published on the Facebook event pages and www.serendipityburn.com before the event -- all participants MUST read this before coming to Serendipity!
Serendipity is an All Ages Event:
This is an all-ages event. Half-price "children's" tickets are available for ages 5-12. Children four and under require no ticket. All minors must have parent/guardian present to enter, or must make arrangements with us in advance. All participants must complete and sign our standard liability waiver to enter.
** ALL MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT/GUARDIAN **
NEW GATE HOURS:
Thursday: NOON-10pm CENTRAL Time Zone
Friday: 10am-MIDNIGHT CENTRAL Time Zone (gate will temporarily close shortly after dark for a special event, but will reopen)
Saturday: 10am-6pm CENTRAL Time Zone
The event will end at NOON Central on Monday. All participants are expected to leave no later than Tuesday, May 31st at noon.
** NO ADMISSION AFTER 6PM SATURDAY **
** THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO TICKET SALES AT THE GATE **
RE-ENTRY POLICY:
There will be no general re-entry. If you must re-enter, be prepared to have a second invite in hand. Note that ice will be sold onsite each day.
FIRE POLICY:
No ground fires permitted except in pre-existing fire pits -- your fires must be off the ground and contained. Bring extinguishers. No tiki torches within 8 feet of tents or other structures. Fire spinning and pre-spinning in the woods by permit only, ranger perimeter required; all other fire spinning must be in the open field. All fire performers and safeties must attend fire safety class and wear FIRESAFE wristbands or face automatic eviction.
Event Policies:
Volunteering does not gain you admittance. No invite = No entry!
No animals are permitted by the property owner's request.
This event will be held rain or shine. Your donations (either invite purchase or other donations) are non-refundable. Tennessee nudity laws apply, please plan accordingly. Management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any participant for any reason at any time without refund.
