Let's embark on a journey to understand and find ways to end homelessness. Do you ever wonder what causes homelessness? Are they just lazy or is there a breakdown somewhere in the system that results in homelessness? Research shows that hunger and homelessness in the United States is a solvable public health crisis but is it really solvable? What are ways in which we can participate as regular individuals to solve homelessness in our neighborhoods?
Please join us in a discussion on hunger and homelessness in King County.
Who's coming: -LAUREN McGOWEN: Director of Family Stability for United Way of King County -TERRY POTTMEYER: President and CEO, Friends of Youth -SARAH WEISER: Volunteer and Evangelist, Northwest Harvest -And likely a few more... Feel free to invite others who might be interested as well.
PS: We won't have child care and given the nature of the conversation, this is best for adults. This is a free event.
