Italian Trio Wine Dinner
Piccino Restaurant and Dig Wines are proud to welcome Elizabetta Foradori and Silvio Messana to San Francisco. We'll be teaming up to serve wines from a trio of wineries. There will be a 4 course dinner with wine pairings at Piccino and the wines will be available for purchase at Dig afterwards.

FORADORI
Elizabetta Foradori is a superstar in the winemaking world. She is without a doubt the finest producer of Teroldego, a grape indigenous to the Trentino region of northern Italy. Her work almost single handedly brought global admiration to a wine that had previously not left the region. She worked to convert the winery to a biodynamic farming system in 2002 and in 2007 joined VinNatur with the aim of making more natural wines. Her approach and execution have elevated her wines to among the finest in all of Italy.

MONTESECONDO
After many years in the NY wine trade, Silvio Messana moved back home to make wine at his family's Chianti Classico estate, Montesecondo. Silvio crafts some of the most delicious, traditional Sangiovese-based wines coming out of Tuscany. Biodynamics and natural farming were a priority from the start, and the results in the vineyards are preserved into the bottle through a delicate, natural winemaking process.

AMPELEIA
Foradori has a joined with a few friends to form an exciting new project located in the rugged hills of Maremma, near the Tuscan coastline. Here, the Mediterranean scrub dominates the landscape; permeating the air with it's fragrance and weaving it's way seamlessly into the wines. Varieties originate from the Mediterranean Basin, mainly Alicante, Carignan and Alicante Bouschet.

The evening will be a relaxed affair, with the entire dining room experiencing a wonderful 4 course menu with wine pairings. We'll be pouring 7 wines in total:

We'll use every seat in the dining room, including the communal tables & the chef's counter. We have room for a couple of larger groups (up to 10 people), too. You can book a table anytime from 5:30 to 9pm. So join us!!
