Valentine's Day 2016 (Sunday February 14) Rip Current Brewing Company and David Bacco Chocolatier have teamed up to provide your palate with a great big hug and a couple of kisses. We have created a beer and chocolate pairing flight that we cannot wait to share with you.
With Cheers & Chocolate you will receive a flight of 5 of our 5.5oz tasters of different brews, each paired with one of David Bacco's exclusive artisanal and hand-crafted chocolates. Lovebirds who don't want a full flight to themselves are welcome to share a flight.
Cheers & Chocolate flight: $25 *gratuity included
All Cheers & Chocolate flights will be offered at both Rip Current Brewing locations and must be pre-purchased on Brown Paper Tickets.
Rip Current San Marcos and Rip Current North Park are both offering Early Bird and Late Bird tickets. Early Bird Tickets are for arrival any time between 12pm-3:30pm. Late Bird Tickets are for arrival any time between 3:30pm-7pm. Make sure to purchase for the time and location you wish to attend, as tickets will only be honored at the time and location purchased.

Because we love you all so much we are also offering Cheers & Chocolate attendees the option to be the first to purchase our Bourbon Barrel-aged Rescue Buoy, the second release from our "Bourbon Barrel Series" of beers. Barrel-aged Rescue Buoy bottles will be available for purchase in each tasting room Sunday February 14th only. This Rip Current favorite clocks in at 14% ABV. And has been aged for nearly two years. The aroma is dark fruits (fig, date, and plum), bourbon sweetness and hints of oak tannin. The flavors match the aroma with a complex balance of molasses, dark caramel, toffee, dark fruits, oakiness and significant bourbon character. The finish is semi dry with some molasses sweetness and enough bourbon character to remind you of the beer's ABV.
**Both Rip Current locations will be open to the public (tickets are for Cheers & Chocolate only).
**All Cheers & Chocolate flights must be pre-purchased online prior to the event! No Cheers & Chocolate flights will be available for purchase on site.
**First priority Barrel-aged Rescue Buoy bottles are only available to those who have purchased a Cheers & Chocolate flight.
**Each Rip Current location will be offering Cheers & Chocolate from 12pm-3:30pm for Early Birds and 3:30pm-7pm for Late Birds. You must arrive within the time frame and location you purchased.
