Old Hat Vaudeville Revue presents: No Applause Just Throw Money
Ladies and Gentlemen! Before the new year begins, we here in Washington DC will bring you an all new show! With one part the grace of Gene Kelly, the good looks of Buster Keaton and the wit and wisdom of Tallulah Bankhead, I am thrilled to bring you the Old Hat Vaudeville Revue!
An all new variety show from the classiest variety performers in Washington DC, we are bringing dignity back to the stage with our very first production: NO APPLAUSE, JUST THROW MONEY! Lets meet the performers!
Bringing a sense of wonder, we welcome Karen Beriss! Karen has been a professional magician for nearly 20 years. She has performed around the world, putting her magic and dry sense of humor to good use. She is a co-producer of DC's Clown Cabaret, a monthly showcase of Clown in Washington DC and is a regular at The Comedy Zone in Washington DC. Karen has performed at the Kennedy Center, National Theater, all over China and a variety of other spots from large to small theaters. She recently did a card trick for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. And, for what it's worth, Karen's mom thinks she's funny.
Next we have a man who will bring the house down, Jim Dandy! A multi-talented dynamo, audiences both familiar and unfamiliar with sideshow and burlesque have all been delighted and amazed by his antics. No audience is too large or small, Jim Dandy is sure to be a hit whether he's using his unparalleled juggling sticks, hosting the show, or simply eating a block of tofu.
Known for his quiet sense of dignity, next we have Charles Artful! Charles has been a DC sideshow performer for the last five years, performing for both stage and film. Slightly changing his direction, he is trading in his hammer and nails for a tuxedo. Make no mistake though, just because he is no longer shocking, does not mean he will no longer amaze!
Delighting the ears with his dulcet tones and musical stylings, we have Stanley Bothered! Stanley Bothered is one half of the vaudeville duo, Hot and Bothered. He is a baggy pants performer of the Neo-Vaudeville tradition and incorporate banter, comedy, clown, music, magic and nonsense to bring a change of pace to the burlesque scene and beyond.
You also will have the opportunity to see some eye popping, heart stopping burlesque!
This is a brand new endeavor that will entertain from the peanut galleries to the box seats! Comedy, burlesque, magic, music and more, this is the show you dont want to miss! If you have to applaud, we welcome that too!
