Reasonable Accommodations in Housing for People With Psychiatric and/or Developmental Disabilities
This seminar will address fair housing laws, reasonable accommodations, eviction defense, and other related issues for people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities in various housing settings.

Approved for 2 hours of MCLE, including 1 hour in Elimination of Bias, from the State Bar of California. Course also meets the qualifications for 2 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences through People With Disabilities Foundation, provider #PCE 3221. Participants will become familiar with fair housing laws as they apply to people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities, reasonable accommodations for impairments that may enable tenants with these disabilities to remain living in their homes, the process to request a reasonable accommodation, and housing issues and challenges that people with psychiatric disorders and/or developmental disabilities face that are a result of or that exacerbate their disorders. This is not a Library sponsored program. Refreshments are not allowed in the Auditorium.
