Symposium Purpose
In as many as half of difficult personnel cases, the root cause may be ADHD. While symptoms of ADHD restlessness, distractibility, disorganization, impulsivity, forgetfulness, and chronic lateness may seem irreversible, the strengths that ADHD individuals bring to the workplace - innovativeness, creativity, enthusiasm, charismatic leadership, and problem solving skills - will overcome the difficulties through ADHD treatment. From the perspective of healthcare and mental health professionals, spotting ADHD symptoms and encouraging diagnosis and treatment will help patients live longer and become better parents, partners and professionals in the workplace.
