Dinner with Will Allen at the Amery Food Hub
Start off with a delicious, local farm-fresh meal at Farm Table restaurant; followed by a thought-provoking address by Will Allen.

Farm Table utilizes locally-grown seasonal fare, prepared in an inspired fashion. Chef Jesse Spitzack will create a 3-course meal highlighting product grown/raised/produced within 25 miles. Attendees will have their choice of entree, paired with an appetizer and dessert. Local, craft beer and wine for purchase.

Following dinner, Will Allen will bring forth a message that is sure to inspire all.

Founder and CEO of Growing Power, Will is a world-renowned urban farmer and food justice entrepreneur of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Growing Power is nationally and internationally recognized for its farmer training methods, using soil building techniques and four-season strategies, and for it's delivery system that offers healthy, local and fresh produce in the Milwaukee area. Growing Power is focused on empowering economically and racially challenged communities to create and build sustainable community-based food systems.

Will was awarded the John D. and Katherine T. McArthur Foundation "Genius Grant" and named a McArthur Fellow only the second farmer ever to be so honored. A member of the Clinton Global Initiative and a national spokesmen who worked with First Lady Michelle Obama to launch her "Let's Move!" initiative to re-verse the epidemic of childhood obesity. Time magazine named Will as one of 100 World's Most Influential People. Will served as an endowed chair at the U of M College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Science.
