AITAF on Broadway 2015- A Reading of Kenneth Lonergan's "Lobby Hero"
Join us at the Historic Studio 54 for a reading of Lobby Hero by an all star cast. Tickets are free to active duty service members, veterans and their families.
On Monday, November 9th at 8pm, actor, Marine and AITAF Founder, Adam Driver and actress and AITAF Artistic Director, Joanne Tucker, will host AITAF's 7th Annual Veterans Day Event, "Arts in the Armed Forces on Broadway". A cast of professional actors will perform a staged reading of "Lobby Hero" by Kenneth Lonergan.
Immediately following the reading will be our "A Year in Service" reception open to everyone in attendance. The audience will consist of a mix of active duty military personnel, veterans, their families and civilians.
All proceeds will benefit AITAF's 2016 season. Tickets for both the reading and reception are FREE for all active duty and veteran service members and their families and are $200 for civilians.
Lobby Hero, a play by Kenneth Lonergan, Synopsis: When Jeff, a luckless young security guard, is drawn into a local murder investigation, loyalties are strained to the breaking point. As Jeff's tightly wound supervisor is called to bear witness against his troubled brother, and an attractive rookie cop finds she must stand up to her seasoned partner, truth becomes elusive and justice proves costly.
