A New Play by Alexander Janosek Doyle
Written in the style of the absurdist comedies of Samuel Beckett, "Is That Danny DeVito?" focuses on the psychological non-adventures of two over-educated but under-employed millennials as they wait for a perpetually delayed bus to deliver them from their New England campsite to their beloved Garden State.
As they wait, Dusty (Julian Gordon) and Geoff (David Gazzo) pass the time with the help of bizarre locals (Natasha Edwards & Carlo Fiorletta) and conversations on topics ranging from the millennial experience to celebrity culture, pop entertainment, literature, New Jersey, and whether or not a man unseen to the audience is Danny DeVito.
This production marks our first collaboration with Art House Productions, a driving force behind Jersey City's growing arts scene.
Mark your calendars: performances will be held at Art House Productions, 136 Magnolia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ on Oct. 8, 9, 10, 16, and 17 (8 p.m.) and Oct. 11 & 18 (2 p.m.)
