SHE by Renée Roden directed by Joey Doyle featuring Emily Dauer, Katherine Dudas, and Meaghan Adawe McLeod
It's Friday ~finally~ and all that stands between you and That Party (you know the one) is that freaking AP Bio test. And all that stands between you and the bathroom are Those Dumb Freshmen Biddies (you know the ones). And all that stands between you and her, looking into the mirror, is your reflection (you know. That one).
Staged site-specifically in a real high school bathroom for an intimate audience of 13, SHE asks: How well do you know the person you tell everything to? And how the hell did that awful Christine get such a toned butt?
Runtime: approx. 70 minutes.
Producer: Charlie O'Leary Technical Director: John Yost Choreographer: Brock Switzer Stage Manager: Arshia Panicker Costume Designer: Sam Squeri Props Designer: Maddie Landon Social Media: Lesley Stevenson Graphic Designer: Colleen Hancuch

ABOUT OPEN BOOTH
Open Booth is a New York-based theatre company dedicated to creating new plays that explore big ideas through an intimate lens. And much like a booth (hah), we're open to anyone who's quick enough to grab a seat. We believe that plays begin with questions but do not generally end with answers. We believe that the best plays are made from ensemble, luck, and the ordinary moments that you'd usually forget. We do not believe in Shakespeare, adaptations, or anything that an old person would describe as a "laugh riot!"

ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM
RENEE RODEN (playwright) is a writer/director/performer and an unabashed native of Minnesota, and had her start in theatre in the lovely theatre community of the Twin Cities, where she will most likely come to a pathetic and anonymous end. As a performer: she has appeared with the Tony Award-winning Minneapolis Children's Theatre Company (The Magic Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, Bert and Ernie, Goodnight!), The Playwright's Center (Planting Shelley Anne), Upright Egg Theatre Company (A Midsummer Night's Dream), and the egg at the Theatre Royal Bath, UK (How I Became a Pirate). As a director: she has wreaked havoc at the University of Notre Dame (On the Verge), and orchestrates the love lives of friends. As a writer: her work has been produced at the University of Notre Dame (SHE), and received development with Project Y Theatre (Genna the Goldfish Solves it All, The Official Hurricane Namebook). As a teaching artist: she works at Cristo Rey New York High School in East Harlem helping teenagers tackle Our Town, and at Stages Theatre Company in Minnesota, helping four-year-old thespians not tackle each other. When not doing any of that, Renée tweets, eats, and blogs. (Always in that order.)
JOEY DOYLE (director) is a director and a writer. His directing credits include God of Carnage (production: University of Notre Dame), The Demise of the Downtown Bar Scene (co-writer, production: University of Notre Dame), and Beneath My Skin (production: University of Dotre Name). As a writer, he works on staff for The Garbage Time (thegarbagetime.com) and finished this bio himself. Joey works full-time at the digital production company BrandCinema and freelances as a film editor. Joey Doyle is fine. He's totally fine at what he does. He's like, fine. He once met Oprah and asked her if she was the lady from those infomercials about blankets.
