DONATIONS for Fire Speaks - Asheville
This is what Lisa came up with 6/18/15 COMMUNITY HELPS OTHERS:
This event is possible through the generosity of many volunteers working behind the scenes, David Wiley, Grandfather Fire and YOU
We are doing our best to properly cover the cost of this event and value its offering while at the same time making it accessible to families with children, young adults and those with a sincere financial need.
We can do that through the financial generosity of others who wish to help make this a beautiful event and accessible to others.
Please GIVE what you can - even if you aren't able to attend. It will feel good to know you are helping others receive the benefit of community, the land and Grandfathers teachings and work.

Other ideas. JEFF/Bill/others PLEASE EDIT or maybe even ask Karen or Amanda or Erin to help with the wording - thanks LL
Do you want to contribute to bringing forth Grandfather's teachings and vision to others who might otherwise not be able to attend?
Do you want to help provide the opportunity for others to enjoy the experience of community and enjoying nature.
Maybe say something about Grandfathers work in the context of sacred fire and then something about holding a value of supporting and honoring this work having exchange while at the same time wanted to ensure that young people and others who otherwise might not be able to attend have access to these important teachings and sense of community. Its about generosity.
When the peoples go through difficult periods, the ancestral traditions offered a pathway for a spirit-speaking person to help their societies receive guidance and reestablish connection to the Sacred.
For hundreds of thousands of years, Fire has been central to human existence, not only providing warmth, light, and protection, but sacred space for communing with Divine. The Spirit of Fire has been revered and engaged by the original traditions and peoples of our earth as a source of wisdom, compassion and transformation.
In a rare occurrence, the Spirit of Fire has selected a person from outside the usual indigenous setting to serve as such a conduit to speak with, inspire and provide guidance to the people of our western culture, who are deeply challenged and in need of renewed connection to the Sacred.
Acting as a bridge between worlds and cultures, Don David Wiley was raised in the West but called, trained, initiated and accepted as an elder in two ancestrally-related indigenous peoples the Nahuatl and Huichols. Grandfather Fire now appears through Don David to provide a new, yet old voice in the world. A voice that is sorely needed.
What would it be like to hear and experience the voice of Fire?
