2015 Southside Boys & Girls Club Flounder Fishing Tourney
Reels in funds to strengthen Club programs
Anglers to make a difference for Club this July
South Hampton Roads, Va. (April 10, 2015) East Coast Repair and Fabrication presents the 2015 Southside Boys & Girls Club Flounder Fishing Tourney. This event, with a $225 entry fee per boat crew and $50 per kayak entry, takes place at Long Bay Point Marina, 2109 W. Great Neck Rd, Virginia Beach on Saturday, July 18. The July 17 captains' meeting and July 11 awards reception, featuring Talkradio AM 850 WTAR Catchin' with Capt. Reese's Reese Bowles, will be held at 37 North Parallel, adjacent to Long Bay Pointe Marina.
On Friday morning and afternoon, July 17, children from the Club will venture out on a head boat trip, many who will experience fishing and boating for the very first time. Building on that, when asked what the motivation was to continue to grow this tourney, president and CEO of East Coast Ship Repair & Fabrication and Tourney chair, Jorge' Rivera said, "We, the committee and sponsors, recognize how crucial it is not only to give these kids at the Club opportunities to succeed, but show them how to attain success. The funds raised from the Tourney will help them achieve these victories through strengthening programs at the Club."
