CIF 2015 Workshop with Kevin Mullaney
In this advanced workshop, you will practice begining scenes by observing and connecting with your scene partners and trusting your gut. By owning your reactions and provoking reactions in your scene partner, you will build exciting, unpredictable and fun scenes with strong emotional games.
Kevin has taught improvisation for 18 years, first for iO Theater, then for the UCB Theatre in New York and now for the newly formed Under the Gun Theater in Chicago. He is the Artistic Director of Under the Gun Theater and the Chicago Improv Festival, the host of the IRC Improv Podcast and the webmaster of the Improv Resource Center. Last year he directed One Act Roulette, an ongoing and ever changing one act play festival with both scripted and improvised plays. He latest shows include #trending and Based on a True Story. He is the former Artistic Director of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York, where he also served as the chief administrator of their training program. He directed numerous improv shows for the UCB Theater including "Tracers", "Retraced", "Individually Wrapped", and "The Swarm in Slow Waltz Around Rage Mountain". He is the creator of Cage-Match and the Annual 3 on 3 Tournament at UCB.
