We contacted our friends down in the Gulf, we'll be getting our first delivery of live crawfish of the year, and we want you to be here to help us eat 'em!
Nothing could be better than a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Hillsborough enjoying a fantastic traditional Louisiana Crawfish Boil, hosted by your trusted Cajun experts at LaPlace Louisiana Cookery. The Crawfish Boil is a sacred event down in Southern Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, and can typically be found in backyards and parks throughout the area in the late spring. Since LaPlace is closed on Sundays, we'll be using the whole restaurant to make one big family-style seating area, with several servings coming out of the kitchen in large pots and dumped onto a communal table in the center of the restaurant. Boils are typically done in large pots with Cajun seasonings and spices, a bunch of potatoes and corn on the cob. Since this is LaPlace we are talking about(and we love sausage!), we'll be adding a ton of our housemade Andouille sausage into the pots as well!
Our crawfish are being delivered alive and kicking from down in LA, and we'll cook 'em all until they're gone! The ticket price does not include alcohol, but our doors will open promptly at 3pm, and we'll have discounts on craft beer, artisan wine & our house cocktails available for purchase that day. The first pot will hit the table at 3:30pm, and they'll keep coming until all the mudbugs have been sucked dry. Seating will be open, as will our outdoor patio. Come early, stay late, eat well, bring the family, and let's enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon together the Louisiana way!
