Each spring, P.S. 230 in Kensington, Brooklyn, hosts its annual Sip Into Spring fundraising event. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year.

The proceeds from Sip Into Spring go directly toward supporting the Arts Residencies at P.S. 230. These are vital programs that enrich students' lives through education in the visual and performing arts. Fees for these programs are intentionally set very low to allow as many children as possible to participate. We feel strongly that money should not be a barrier to education, and offer scholarships for the families whose children want to participate, yet cannot afford the fees. Thanks to the funds raised through the Sip Into Spring event, no child is turned away due to the inability to pay.

In addition, children enjoy the following afterschool enrichment programs: Computer Coding, Chess, Capoeira, and Band. Also supported by Sip Into Spring.

The Sip Into Spring event will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture. We expect to have a large crowd of 200 people looking to bid on items that not only support their school, but the communities they live in.
