Gallery/Portraits by: Casey Ross
See the two plays that helped put local playwright, Casey Ross on the map, together on one stage for the first time ever. Starring 5 amazing local actors. The play will also be hosting an art gallery pre and post show of selected local painters to celebrate these plays and their backbone: artists.

Gallery by: Casey Ross

Art  used to be sacred. Jackson Bell, a freelance artist, has fallen for childhood friend, Monica Graham. Monica, an art gallery owner, is in danger of losing her space, so, along side best friend, Frank Burnem, Jackson vows to save the day, the gallery, and his girl's dream. Add Martin, Frank's crass brother into this eventful week, and the art-school trio find themselves in a whirl-wind of stolen art, money, and hearts...Not to mention the surfacing of secrets as old as the friendship that binds them. A play about art, growth and friends that provides big laughs and thought provoking issues.

"I loved it so much, I saw it three times! ...If Gallery were a book I'd be eagerly awaiting the sequel." ~Hope Baugh.

"A highlight of the 2007 Indy Fringe!" ~Joe Boling.

Portraits Like American Gothic by: Casey Ross

Jackson finds himself painfully comfortable, as a house-hold name artist. Jackson discovers that his notoriety came at the cost of his passion and his marriage and stumbles to save his relationship with Monica, even though it may be too late. Frank, still struggling to snuff out his flame for his nonreciprocating best-friend and muse, grasps the threads of a newly woven relationship, with long-term admirer, Scott, that is already unraveling at Jackson's hands. Now, Jackson finds himself in an entanglement of sofas and dog-houses, desperately trying to save the two relationships that matter to him most, from...himself. Two best friends will question what bound themselves  to each other and to art: The trio have entered their middle-age and the comedy is darker, in this play that puts the very art of living on display.

"This is her best work, yet" -Taylor Martin.

"A funny love story but without the sex - it's more important than that." -John Beldon.

Starring: Taylor Cox, Colin McCord, Sarah Hoback, Anthony Nathan, and Johnny Mullins. Directed by: David Matthews. Scenic Design by: Han Zaw. Concept and Art Direction by: Casey Ross. Technical Director: Kevin Dennis.
