Master Bartender Class for the Beginner: Mixology at David's KPT

Do your dreams include small cafes. afternoon drinks, sweeping Italian views and even a vintage Vespa? Then the Negroni and Boulevadier "Tails of KPT Class" at David's Boathouse is right for you.

'Tails of the KPT will be a two-hour long class discussing a history of the select cocktails and how they came to be. We will then move into discussing base alcohols, liqueurs, flavor modifiers, mixing techniques, garnishes and all the components of making a cocktail. There will also be tastings, visuals and Q&A sessions along the way.

The first class will feature three classic cocktails:The Negroni, The Negroni Bianci and
the Boulevardier- three drinks that when you change one ingredient a completely new
drink is created.

These classic drinks share the ratio of alcohols and the base ingredient: Italian Campari.

Here is the breakdown for 3/21/15 from 2-4pm:

Tastings of the base alcohols
Use of flavor modifiers
How to add mixers and the right way to do it
Mixing & straining techniques
Garnishing (not just for looks anymore!)

Master Bartender Joel Souza will lead the class. All recipes will be provided. Small snacks and passed hor's d'oevres will also be provided.

Guests will leave with their own custom David's KPT shaker for their home bar.
