Peacock Ball
PEACOCK Ball Earth Angel Farm (EAF) would like to introduce to you a novel approach to improving our community. Earth Angel Farm is hosting the first annual PEACOCK Ball on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm at the Packard Museum. EAF supports individuals with physical and developmental disabilities through education, advocacy and socialization in various agricultural settings.
The Peacock Ball will bring together like-minded nonprofits and organizations whose main objective is to improve the lives of people living with disabilities. Why a PEACOCK Ball? The peacock represents some of the most admired human characteristics: compassion, kindness, patience, and the ability to thrive in the face of suffering. Attendees of the PEACOCK Ball are encouraged to "dress up" in their craziest, most colorful outfits. Sequins, boas, hats and feathers are all a must. And don't forget your attitude! Nonprofits and organizations collaborating on the PEACOCK Ball: Earth Angel Farm (green) Mikeyfied Fund for Adult Autism (blue) Mahoning Valley Epilepsy Fund (purple) MS Dreams (orange) Parkinson's Support Group (silver) Mahoning Valley Spinal Cord Support Group (cream) Multiple Sclerosis Society (orange) Jan's Clan Epilepsy Support Group (purple) Urban Farm Cooperative (red)
With the success of the Peacock Ball we will be creating a Peacock Fund which will support future efforts that create social, vocational and residential opportunities for those living with physical and developmental disabilities. Thank you in advance for any consideration of support for this important community event.
