The 2014 San Diego Cabaret Awards is one of San Diego's biggest nights of entertainment and Awards, this one in recognition for their contribution to the wonderfully intimate and personal performance art of Cabaret!

The public and industry luminaries will be treated to performances by some of the very best Cabaret performers in Southern California. "World Class" entertainers include "America's Got Talent" phenom, Ray Jessel! Ray was a rousing early favorite on AGT and his YouTube videos went viral with over 10 million hits! Leigh Scarritt, San Diego's very own Award Winning Director and veteran of TV, film and stage, and last year's winner of "The Schroeder" Award for excellence in her outstanding contribution to Cabaret leads a stunning line-up of prominent performers including Eileen Bowman, David McBean, Danielle Forsgren and Francesca Amari!

This year's Cabaret Awards at Cygnet Theatre in beautiful and historic Old Town San Diego will be preceded by a fabulous "Meet and Greet" reception in the courtyard directly in front of the theatre. There, you'll be able to meet many of the "Stars" for the night in an intimate and personal setting. Wine and beer are available at the "Hosted Bar" with a fine selection from local wineries and craft breweries. Wine and beer are available to show attendees that purchase their show ticket with credentials.

With or without credentials, everyone is welcome to attend the "Meet and Greet"!

Ticket options are:

1) General Admission: $20 and you're welcome to attend the Meet and Greet.

2) Show and Credential: $30 and will allow you to enjoy the fine selection of wine and beer that will be on hand between 5:45pm and 6:45pm.

This year's fabulous line-up of STARS includes:

RAY JESSEL: Ray was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for his writing on the Carol Burnett Show, and nominated by The Writers Guild Of America for "Original Variety" for his work on The Smothers Brother Show. He is an acclaimed singer, songwriter and writer with countless credits for his work with the likes of Dean Martin, The Jacksons (as Producer), Love Boat, The Gold Diggers, The Bob Newhart Show and a long list of others. Michael Feinstein credits Mr. Jessel for writing what he refers to as "the most beautiful song ever written" in Whatever Happened To Melody.

LEIGH SCARRITT: On top of her extensive and impressive contributions in television and film, Leigh has played virtually every leading role in the biggest and most popular stage shows in San Diego. She continues to dazzle San Diego audiences with her acting and singing and was awarded "The Schroeder" Award at last year's San Diego Cabaret Awards for her outstanding contribution to Cabaret.

EILEEN BOWMAN: Eileen starred in the opening act of the 61st Annual Academy Awards along side Rob Lowe and went on to appear as the fairy tale heroine in the musical revue, "Beach Blanket Babylon" at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas. Eileen Bowman has been nominated, not once, but twice, for the San Diego Critics Circle award, in the "Outstanding Featured Performance in a Musical" category. Bowman "WON" for her role as Adelaide in Guys and Dolls and was nominated for her portrayal of three characters, DeDe, Angelica and Patricia, in Joe vs. the Volcano. Locals can count on catching more from this amazingly talented actress/singer/cabaret performer in the many projects she has underway.

DANIELLE FORSGREN:  Teacher, author, performer  Danielle Forsgren is a Metropolitan Opera award winner from a fourth generation theatre family. She has traveled the globe performing her cabarets. Danielle is an original cast member of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" for 8 seasons. She also originated the role of Lucy in the musical "Dracul". She's been seen in various productions at Starlight and Lawrence Welk. Danielle created and co-hosted "The Diva Craft Lounge Radio Show" that was listened and viewed on a weekly basis for 9 yrs in 128 countries.  Her Diva Doctrine."Dare To be Bold, Different, and Always Kind".

DAVID MCBEAN:  David is one of San Diego's favorite singers and actors, often appearing along side Leigh Scarritt, Eileen Bowman and Phil Johnson. David made his Cabaret premier at Martinis Above Fourth this year in 2 sold-out shows! David brings San Diego Cabaret and theater goers a mix of humor, song and some fabulous acting each and every time!
