Wonderland Asylum
Alice, a troubled girl, is committed to Wonderland Asylum after the somewhat untimely demise of her poor cat Dinah. Young Alice is in no way prepared for the drug induced horrors that await her. Glimpse the grim future as we enter the mental, mind twisting, "Wonderland Asylum" and meet its deranged inhabitants. Flashbacks to the past shake your ideas of the nature of reality and fantasy. Allow yourself to let go of reality as you know it and slip into the demented psychosis that awaits you. This one of a kind interactive theater experience is presented by Enter Lewd. This special four show run is in January and will also include a preshow figure drawing session and art party at London Reign on Saturday January 3rd, the weekend before opening night. Original art and merchandise will be available for purchase at all events. Ticket purchase also includes prop bag upon entry so you're sure to be a part of the fun! Experience Wonderland Asylum: January 9th and 10th at The Boom, January 16th at The Womb, and January 30th at the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center Theater.
Enter Lewd's Wonderland Asylum is a mysterious tale of a little girl gone astray. After being committed for murdering her best friend and cat, Dinah, troubled little Alice, meets the friends and foes that will guide her into the minds eye. Watch as Alice (Holli Would) is guided by fellow psych patient the White Rabbit (Chase Vegas) through a psychedelic world of wonder and horror. From the halls of the asylum through the looking glass, enter this lewd, drug induced world with them as they encounter each character and the macabre tale unfolds. From straight jackets to shock treatment, experience the terror of Warden Queenie Heart (Gigi) and her corrupt band of asylum guards, the Hatter (Michael King), the Hare (Smokey Taboo), and the Dormouse (Pyxis Deodara) as they push, prod, and drug the asylum's inmates. Alice soon realizes that the other occupants of Wonderland may be her only hope of escaping this wild ride alive. Along her journey she meets Tweedle Dee (Hope Schmerfeld), Tweedle Dum (Cat Carter), the Caterpillar (Nawty Demur), and the Cheshire Cat (Cat Carter). Watch in awe as the patients band together and embark with her on this unforgiving trip into the deep, dark, dimensions of her own murky mind. Try to hold on to your own sanity as you witness this skilled cast of misfits delve into the mind of one girl trying desperately to clutch onto any sanity she might have left. Enter Lewd offers a multifaceted interactive cirque-style theater experience like no other. Created by art masterminds Holli Would and Chase Vegas, with players including many of the founding cast members of OKC's infamous Bang Bang Variety Show, it's no wonder things could get a little freaky.
