Twelfth Night Premiere + Gala
Starring ABQ Journal's "Best Stage Couple" of 2013 Brennan Foster and Sheridan Johnson ("Venus in Fur," Best Play 2013, ABQ Journal), "Twelfth Night" is the debut performance of Threshold Art Collective, an exciting and innovative new community theater project.
Delightful fun, Twelfth Night is a masquerade ball of love, excess, desire and family. One of Shakespeare's most crowd-pleasing comedies, this performance moves from one hilarious romantic intrigue to the next. A shipwrecked lady (Johnson) finds herself penniless and about to stay that way in a pre-suffrage society. Donning a man's dress, she gets to work and immediately finds herself in the middle of a gender-bending love triangle, replete with a drunken uncle (George Williams as Sir Toby), a wise fool (Vanessa Rios as Feste), a proud puritan (Stephen Zamora as Malvolio) and a smart-mouthed chambermaid.
Attend a special gala in the Grand Ballroom of the Scottish Rite Temple on opening night (12/12) and enjoy a champagne or cider toast with the cast, crew, musicians and several of your favorite local artists and politicians. This special event is two nights only, so come spend the twelfth night of Decemberor the thirteenth! with New Mexico's finest in one of Shakespeare's most treasured plays.
