Project Shine: Heather Rangel's 10k Butterfly Swim June 7 2015
In Sept. 2014, we lost a dear friend, Jackie Tran, to cancer. She was the biggest-hearted person, and the best researcher we've ever known. Still, she was not able to find a cure in time to save her life. Within 4 weeks, we were able to raise $100,000 for CancerCommons.org, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit that united cancer patients, oncologists and scientists to get patients the info that they need. As a tribute to Jackie and others we have lost since then, we've decided to reset our goal to raise $1 million for CancerCommons.org, to help people with cancer to have a better shot at finding the cure that works for them.
