Dance UK Industry Wide Conference 2015. "The Future: New Ideas, New Inspirations"
From the 9 - 12 April 2015, the dance sector will come together to discuss, debate and share their vision for the future of the industry.
Day 3 - Sunday 12 April
Venue: Sadler's Wells Theatre:"Emerging Artists: Training, Creativity & Choreography"
Speakers include Wayne McGregor and Alistair Spalding.
The National Youth Dance Company and Sadler's Wells host the final day of the conference, which will offer an opportunity to discuss dance training, take inspiration from around the world and focus on the needs of young people as they prepare to be the future of dance.
Themes for the day will include:
Training and Developing the next generation of dance artists: this strand will look at the training models from both UK and abroad and will question what young people should be dancing and how best to prepare them for the future?
Learning through Dance: this strand will present case studies and look at the effectiveness of using dance as a vehicle for learning in different settings, including formal education.
The third strand during the day will be run by and for the young dancers, and will be an opportunity for dancers learning in different settings to come together and debate and present their views on the future of youth dance and training.
There will be short 'power performances' from different groups of young people during the lunch break.
Registration will begin from 9am and sessions will finish at 5pm.
A conference closing reception will be held from 5pm-7pm.
Day ticket prices include the following:

- Refreshments and catering on the day
- Optional access to the Opening Ceremony on Thursday 9 April. (places limited so early booking recommended)
- Optional access to Saturday evening performance and party. Vicky Igbokwe will perform "Our Mighty Groove" followed by drinks and dancing at Greenwich Dance
