THE LEGEND BEHIND KISS OF THE TIGER:
After the Ultimate Performance Championship Dr. Dolomite wanted to give Thunder Gumbo a special gift. They all sat down and he began to explain the little known Zodiac calender brought to Balkans by the Huns over 1500 years ago. Knowing the greatness of Thunder Gumbo, Dr. Dolomite wanted to imbue it with great fortune and love. In this spirit he took the crew to find the legendary Jade Prince, the rat that helped form this magical calender thousands of years ago in China. His rat kingdom was deep under the streets of Manhattan and when they found him he was deep in conversation with, of all people, Geoffrey Chaucer. When they heard the story of Thunder Gumbo, Chaucer and the Jade Prince knew they must take the crew on a magic journey through time so they might share their astrological secrets. The Jade prince took them to the birth of the zodiac where he would help the Jade Emperor create the calender. All the animals in the kingdom arrived to be considered. The love birds were an obvious shoe-in but when it came to choose, the cat jealously attacked the little birds. Fearlessly and selflessly the other love bird threw himself in harms way to protect his love and before he could be harmed the Jade Prince turned him into a giant tiger towering over the jealous cat saving both of them and forever changing the calender from the love bird to the year of the tiger. This is the true story behind valentines day for it caused Chaucer to write "The Love Birds" out of inspiration. The Thunder Gumbo crew was so inspired they asked if the calender could be made so that in 2010 they could celebrate the tiger on the same day as Valentine's day and the Jade Emperor made it so. Full of knowledge and inspiration the crew returned to the 21st century excited to honor the tiger's love with a beautiful celebration called KISS OF THE TIGER @ the Wall Street Spa.

Thanks so much. We look forward to your loving tiger spirit.
