Thrillville's Valentine's Beach Party, DONNA LOREN IN PERSON
COWABUNGA! CELEBRATE VALENTINE'S DAY IN SAN FRANCISCO - AT THE BEACH, WITH A SINGING STAR!
WHAT: Thrillville, the roving "cult movie cabaret" hosted by local lounge lizard Will "the Thrill" Viharo and his lovely assistant and patient wife, Monica "Tiki Goddess," presents the popular 1965
"beach party" cult classic, BEACH BLANKET BINGO, starring Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello, Deborah Walley, John Ashley, DONNA LOREN, Linda Evans, Harvey Lembeck, Paul Lynde, Don Rickles, Timothy Carey and Buster Keaton (!), at the classic San Francisco venue, The Balboa Theater, on Valentine's Day. This one has it all: surf music, teenage romance, beautiful scenery, bikers, bikinis, go-go dancing, and even a mermaid (Marta Kristen)! Along with a screening of the film, considered the best of this sun-baked genre, there will be vintage drive-in movie trailers, cool prizes and a live performance by San Francisco's legendary burlesque bunny, Kitten on the Keys http://www.suzanneramsey.net/
THIS JUST IN! "Beach Blanket Bingo" singing star icon DONNA LOREN will appear and perform in person for a very rare public appearance, singing a medley of beach party tunes and selling CDs of her new album "Love It Away" as well as autographed photos!
