Houston Pride Band Presents Flights of Fancy
The imaginations and ingenuity of the human mind and spirit will be showcased in Houston Pride Band's upcoming concert entitled, "Flights of Fancy." This aptly named and ethereal concert will explore thematic musical selections that embrace dreams, flights and fantasies.
In keeping with their efforts toward helping the community, the Houston Pride Band will donate ticket proceeds from this concert to Houston Buyers Club. For more information on Houston Buyers Club, visit their website at http://www.houstonbuyersclub.com/.
In addition, Houston Pride Band brings back their highly anticipated Silent Auction. In past years, participants have found extravagant gift packages, beautiful artwork and other treasured items up for auction. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit the Houston Pride Band.
The concert will be held at Resurrection MCC (located at 2025 W. 11th Street) on Saturday, February 27th, 2010, at 7:30 PM, with the doors opening at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available online now at http://www.houstonprideband.org and will be available at the door.
The Houston Pride Band serves as a community band in Houston's GLBT community and performs at various community events throughout the year as well as concerts and parades. The Houston Pride Band is open to all brass, woodwind, and percussion players and welcomes musicians of all skill levels.
