Born and Raised in New York City, Drop The Lime, constantly evolves in style, staying ahead of the game. Expect four to the floor bangers spiked with Grime, House, Breaks, Electro, and growling bass Techno, while he drops jaws to the floor with his bad boy Sinatra vocals. Venezia grew up in New York City's underground rave scene, drawn to the high energy of Jungle and Drum & Bass. He began performing under the alias Drop The Lime in 2003, exploding into the punk electronic scene known as Breakcore, gaining an underground iconic status. DTL released numerous International singles and EP's on high profile labels like Ambush, Peace Off, Broklyn Beats, Mirex, and his infamous 2005 debut, "This Means Forever," on Tigerbeat6. From Breakcore's hyper-kinetic beats and DJ'ing heavy bass music like grime/Dubstep, Electro to Baltimore Club and 4x4, DTL evolved into an underground club massive sound. Now, responsible for the bass heavy Trouble & Bass parties w/ co-founder Math Head, DTL is bringing a fresh spin on urban music. With a new alias, Curses! releasing on french dance label Institubes, be prepared to hear a concoction of Disco, Freestyle, Old School Rave, Grime, Techno, and All things Bass Heavy. Venezia's energetic live performances and vicious DJ sets have captivated audiences and artists worldwide with their innovative sound. Under the moniker Drop The Lime, he has toured and performed with renowned artists such as, Kid606, DJ / Rupture, Knifehandchop, Rotator, Sickboy, DJ Scud, Shadetek, Jammer, Skepta,Vex'd, The Plastician, Dizzee Rascal, Digital Mysitcz, Plaid, and Cylob. DTL has cut up remixes for a diversity of artists and bands, including Infants, Vyle, Bong Ra, C.L.A.W.S, End, Mathhead, Ra-X, Chris Glover,Atki2, Mochipet, Alan Astor, Kid606, and more. His music has inspired remixes by artists including, Gold Chains, Soft Pink Truth, Kid606, Starkey, Atki2, Original Hamster, Shadetek, Eats Tapes, Infants, Jason Forrest, and Duran Duran Duran. DTL has also performed at highly acclaimed festivals such as Barcelona's Sonar, Austin's South by Southwest, Miami's WMC & Art Basel after parties, New York's CMJ, Caen's Nordik Impact, Belgium's WOOD, and Amsterdam's Sonic Acts. DTL has had major airplay on BBC Radio1's Breezeblock, hosted by Mary Anne Hobbs, RinseFM, Resonance FM, and numerous shows on New York City's WFMU, WNYU, EVR, just to name a few.
