Earl Brothers, Dalton Mountain Gang, Forest Fires
San Francisco Bluegrass & Old-Time Festival - Shelby Ash's Bluegrass Bonanza

The Earl Brothers (www.earlbrothers.com)
The Earl Brothers, based out of San Francisco, CA, perform original hillbilly mountain music. The bands less is more approach to songwriting, singing, and musicianship will make you stop whatever youre doing and take notice. The Earl Brothers are blazing their own trail, extending the genre, while staying within the gritty tradition that started in the 1940s and 50s. In the short time since the release of their third album, Moonshine (the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2006s Troubles to Blame and 2004s Whiskey, Women & Death), The Earl Brothers have received an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from music-lovers, festival promoters, radio DJs, and music journalists. The Earl Brothers are Robert Earl Davis (banjo, lead vocals), Danny Morris (guitar, lead vocals), James Touzel(bass, vocals)and Tom Lucas (fiddle, vocals).

The Dalton Mountain Gang (www.daltonmountaingang.com)
The Dalton Mountain Gang plays their own brand of bluegrass infused with a touch of old-time music that is inspired, not only by the founding fathers, but by some of the best modern performers and local musicians, as well. The goal of the group is to move the audience with the driving rhythms, powerful vocals, and to have a good time doing it! Standards are layered with new original songs that retain the authentic feel of today's bluegrass. One of the group's trademarks is the powerful vocal sounds of lead Yoseff Tucker, with tight harmonies in all the right places. Instrumental prowess is woven carefully with the vocals so that the energy never stops! The Gang showcases the flat-picking guitar playing of Yoseff Tucker and features Tom Naiman (banjo and vocals), Ella Naiman (fiddle, frailing banjo, vocals, and jokes), John Cogdill (mandolin, guitar, and bass), and Paul Chesterton (banjo and bass).

Forest Fires
Forest Fires: destructive picking, deadly speed, ability to change direction at any moment, uncontrollable bluegrass combustion, burning originals and unpredictable behavior. Forest Fires are recording their debut album "You Know How Parties Get" and gearing up for tours, festival season, and whatever else my cross their path. So look out! The band's incendiaries are Emery Barter (dobro), Becky Levi (vocals), Toby Oler (banjo), Jesse Potralski (guitar), Zach Sharpe (bass), Ted Silverman (mandolin).
