South Sound Farm-to-Fork 2014
High consumer demand for fresh, local food has translated to an increased interest in local food procurement, but sometimes it's not easy to create the business relationships needed to get food from the farm to the fork. During this half-day event, farmers and ranchers will connect with restaurant chefs, grocery retailers, specialty food store owners, food service operators, institutional buyers, food processors, and distributors to cultivate partnerships.
Agenda:
> Panel discussion by producers and buyers about effective strategies for building the market and capacity of local producers to meet the demand.
> Structured networking between food producers and buyers
> Resource expo and refreshments
