Curious Palate Wine Tasting Class: Viognier
Viognier has recently increased in popularity among consumers. At one point, it was on the brink of extinction, but over the last 30 or so years has made quite a come back! Mostly known as the principle white grape variety in the northern Rhône (France), Viognier is capable of producing extraordinary and wonderfully aromatic wines with peachy and spicy aromas. On the palate, there are dry, luscious flavors of tree fruit, nuttiness and undertones of spice. At its best, it is lush and rich with amazing complexity and a wonderful alternative to Chardonnay. Let's explore!
The Curious Palate is a tasting class series that is designed to explore the world of wine, beer and spirits and learn your palate in an intimate and friendly atmosphere. The Curious Palate is for the taster who wants to take their personal wine, beer and spirits experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! Space is limited; reservations are required. Curious Palate Tasting Classes are $25.00 per person and includes the beverage tasting, paired food bites, and engaging education.
