No Kind of Rider got together in 2006. Jon had just moved back to Tulsa after leaving another band. Jeremy, Joe, Wes and Sam had just found a house together. They wrote songs in Wes' bedroom and released a few of them in 2007.
The band was born in Tulsa, OK where there are a ton of great things that most likely you have never ever heard. They played a ton of shows, mostly for friends, and later for more and more friends.
They moved to a basement in Portland, Oregon at the wet end of 2008, to meet new friends. This is their second show at The Woods.
