Unveiling the Hidden Story of Black Burlesque Part 2
Join us for the second workshop of "Unveiling the Hidden Story of Black Burlesque Series" put on By International Black Burlesque Performers.
This class will be led by the dynamic and knowledgeable Janelle Smith. She's been growing her archive of autographed pictures, from national burlesque legends under Burlyqnell - Vintage Photos of Burlesque Dancers for over a decade now.
Within that time she has traveled the country, and, contributed to The Burlesque Hall of Fame 's "Not So Hidden History" exhibition on performers of color.
Janelle Smith is nothing less than a burlesque archaeologist. International Black Burlesque Performers is extremely excited to have her as a guest lecturer.
This workshop will also feature authentic pictures of African American burlesque performers for viewing and a performance by Sinnator Charlotte, IBBP's founder.
