The Savannah Derby Devils women's flat-track roller derby league returns for their fourth competitive season in 2010. Each "bout" involves more than an hour of full-contact, competitive play between the local rollergirls and leagues from around the region. Events include raffles, games, prizes, refreshments, roller derby merchandise and a free moonbounce for kids. Alcohol is not permitted in the facility but tailgating in the parking lot is encouraged starting at 5 p.m. (no glass, please). Doors open at 5 p.m.; scrimmage starts at 6 p.m.; bout starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 adv., $12 door. $2 off door price with a military ID. Kids ages 8 and under get in free. Some bleacher seating is available. No chairs allowed on the sport court. Must be age 18 or older to sit in "suicide seating" near the rink. Ticket holder assumes risk of injury.
Note: PARKING IS LIMITED - DO NOT PARK AT MCDONALDS.
