Food and Wine Pairing with the Rhone
To kick off the holiday season we're also going to be discussing thoroughly the theory and practice of wine and food pairing using the wines of the Rhone Valley, from the stunning, precise Syrahs of Cote-Rotie and Hermitage in the north, to the gorgeous and sleep Chateauneuf-du-Papes and Grenache based blends of the South. These reds, along with the full bodied fragrant whites made of Viognier Marsanne and Roussanne are some of the most serious whites in all of France and the perfect foil to Turkey and the often overloaded rich/sweet/sour/savory flavors of T-day. Even on their own, discover why this is hands down the first region Dave fell in love with, and continues to be in his top 3 for for sheer pleasure as well as flexibility at the table. Seating is limited, and I guarantee, the library wines that will be poured will never be seen in one place ever again. Please bring 6 wine glasses, or plastic cups can also be provided.
