| Description |
 Has the recession taken a bit of the fun out of your life? Does it feel like 2010 will be more of the same? Is that stressing you out?
That'S No Way to start the New Year! Resolve to Add More Play In 2010. Take a break, and join us for a day of merriment and laughter.
Resolve to add more play and less stress in 2010. Treat yourself to round-trip transportation, games and activities, and a light lunch. Event will be at Hyak Market's rustic outdoor site, in the heart of Snoqualmie Pass.
Focusing on a lot of priorities can distract you from an essential element for happiness and calmness, namely, play. Imagine having more fun without the stress as you begin the New Year. Studies show play can help you feel more creative, optimistic, and adaptive to change. Treat yourself to an afternoon of full and engaging play with others who are ready to shake the guilt, let their hair down, and cut loose.
Fun? What kind of fun?
SNOW Day for Adults isn't about skiing or snow shoeing. You'll have to go elsewhere for that kind of fun. Bring a play date and revel in the outdoors as you play games, meet interesting people, and learn a bit more about your potential for personal growth. Leave the stress and competitive spirit behind. They'll only get in the way of the fun.
- Make a snow angel, build a snowman, or make snow carvings.
- Join the tribute to the Winter Olympics with a specialized version of the games, complete with opening and closing ceremonies.
- Roast marshmallows and hot dogs over a bonfire.
- Be a kid all over again, if only for a few hours.
- Adults only, please.
Is that all there is to it? No way! Besides the fun and games, you'll leave feeling refreshed, content, and committed to incorporating more play into your life. You don't have to be an athlete to have this kind of fun, though there will be some physical exertion.
Bring a playful attitude, a crazy imagination, and a willingness to be a bit vulnerable. Oh, and be ready for whatever the weather might bring. The day will unfold around what Mother Nature has planned, but the games will go on.
SNOW Day is a joint venture between Hyak Market and Xplore Your Zing! Life Coaching. Activities will be facilitated by Patricia Klingler, Certified Life Coach.

You are responsible for your winter clothing and although we do not anticipate any safety issues, everyone will need to sign a release form.
Round-trip van transportation from South Bellevue P&R - 2700 Bellevue Way SE. Meet at south end of parking lot.
Bus will leave promptly at 10:00 a.m., so please show up 10 minutes early to get your seat. The play day will be held at Hyak Market's rustic outdoor event site, in the heart of Snoqualmie Pass. |
