32nd Evening of Irish Music & Poetry
The Jim Rouse Theatre Columbia, MD
A recent winner of the 2009 Davy Byrnes Irish Writing Award, Keegan, originally from County Wicklow, has published two collections of short stories, Antarctica (1999) and Walk the Blue Fields (2007). Her previous awards include The Rooney Prize for Irish Literature, Macaulay Fellowship and the William Trevor Prize. HoCoPoLitSo's 2006 Irish writer Anne Enright calls Keegan's work, "Perfect short stories."
Ms. Keegan will be introduced by the Ambassador, the Republic of Ireland and followed by a concert of traditional Irish music. Book sale and signing at intermission.
