Description
The Paul Green School of Rock Music West Coast All Star band will be in Boise on December 12, 2009 for a concert benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Ada County.  All proceeds for the concert will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club.  This concert will feature All Star students from the School of Rock locations throughout the West and will benefit a great local charity.  Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MRIKXh-AUg for a music video featuring the band!

The Paul Green School of Rock Music is the original performance-based rock music school in the country for students ages 7 to 18.  Founded by Philadelphia guitarist Paul Green in 1998, the Paul Green School of Rock Music is the subject of the documentary Rock School, which debuted at Sundance in 2005, went to national release, and regularly airs on A&E. It also served as the apparent inspiration for the Jack Black hit comedy, School of Rock. Built on Green's philosophy that the best way to learn to play music is by actually doing it, the School of Rock program supplements weekly private lessons with group band practice in a highly challenging yet supportive environment. Dedicated to connecting the musicians of tomorrow to the classics of yesterday (students learn by playing classic rock ranging from the Beatles and Cream to Zappa and Zeppelin), the Paul Green School of Rock Music (www.schoolofrock.com) has expanded to more 30 branches including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, Salt Lake City, Austin and St. Paul, with plans to further expand to 50 schools by the end of 2009.

In fact, The Paul Green School of Rock Music will be opening its 50th location right here in Eagle, Idaho in January 2010!
