White Christmas at Orinda Theatre
The classic movie White Christmas will be the second screening in series of events planned to honor the move by the California Independent Film Festival (CAIFF) to their new home at Orinda Theater Square. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity.
Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye star as two song-and-dance men who team up after the war to see a charming New England inn through its holiday season. A veritable treasure of Irving Berlin classics including "Count Your Blessings Instead Of Sheep," "Sisters," "Blue Skies," and, of course, Bing Crosby's immortal rendition of "White Christmas."
The screening will be held at the Orinda Theater on December 12, 2009, at 4 PM & 7 PM. The event will also feature live holiday music & singing carolers, trivia games, prizes and the annual CAIFF TOY drive. Trivia games hosted by Peter Crooks from Diablo Magazine.
