The Popes 1998 impending visit to a small Uruguayan town on the border with Brazil stimulates a flurry of activity among the poorest residents who hope to strike it rich by catering to the needs of the 50,000 expected pilgrims. Beto, our entrepreneurial smuggler, decides that having somewhere to go when nature calls will be his familys way to cash in. Oscar nominated filmmakers Fernando Meirelles (City of God, Constant Gardener), Cesar Charlone (City of God), and Enrique Fernandez have a sensitive and touching film in Pope's Toilet.

Beto, contrabandista y emprendedor, decide que como todo mundo tendra necesidad de un bao la mejor idea sera poner uno en frente de su casa y cobrar por su uso.
