Slow Feast in the Field
Join us for the 7th Annual Slow Feast in the Field benefiting Austin Discovery School. It is an evening of fresh local food and drinks served in the field under twinkling stars at Green Gate Farm, a small, historic farm in East Austin. Guests will tour the grounds, participate in a stellar silent auction, and sit down to a slow feast, fresh from the field prepared by local chef Todd Roth of Homegrown Revival. We will also have mixologists from the Gibson Bar serving up delicious drinks.
Slow Feast is sponsored by Slow Food Austin and Green Gate Farms and benefits the diverse programs at Austin Discovery including:
The EcoWellness program's goal is to create a socially and emotionally engaged ecoliteracy program for ADS including hands-on exploration and instruction both in and out of the garden. This embraces the Center for Ecoliteracy's 5 practices of emotionally and socially engaged ecoliteracy. Friday Nature Hikes on the 200 acre school grounds. Continued arts instruction by our highly qualified music and art teachers. A recently added middle school.
Funds raised through this event directly impact students' lives and the future of our community.
Join us for this beautiful event and help support homegrown education!
