County of Sonoma Commission on the Status of Women Presents Women Creating a Better Tomorrow
The County of Sonoma Commission on the Status of Women is hosting a luncheon to celebrate exceptional women that have worked toward creating a better Sonoma County. All proceeds will go to the Santa Rosa Junior College Foundation.
To kick off the luncheon will be Keynote Speaker Socorro Shiels, Superintendent of the Santa Rosa City School District.
This year the Commission on the Status of Women will honor three truly inspirational women:
- Marie De Santis is the Founder and Executive Director of the Women's Justice Center - Providing free advocacy for those in underserved communities - Carol Rathmann is the Founder and Executive Director of Forget Me Not Farm - Providing a haven for children and animals to bond and break the cycle of abuse through animal assisted and horticultural therapy. - Edie Sussman is an attorney who works to defend the rights of mistreated tenants, farm workers and those who would not otherwise be able to pursue civil actions to right a grievous wrong
So join us at Charlie's Grill in Windsor and be inspired!
