New Works: Molly Lieber and Eleanor Smith
Molly Lieber and Eleanor Smith made BLANKET together. "It is a piece about trying and trust. We test out what it means to look at somebody. In Blanket, there are periods of waiting, and waiting for each other, and attempting to make decisions together. We each try to make the experience we want possible, but with the other person, and we want the other person to understand this experience. We also want the audience to understand it. The challenge is coming together with all that want, and trying together to make something happen.
Periods of remembering and questioning separate the dancers. We act differently when we are separated from one another and we dance differently when we are arent dancing together. We leave each other and come back and see if were still the same."
Original live music by Aaron Harris and Yos Munro.
