DOG SEES GOD: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead
Using some of the most beloved characters in the history of popular culture to examine the American teenage experience, DOG SEES GOD explores the universal pains and anxieties of leaving childhood behind with humor and pathos.

CB is an average high schooler who thought that he had conquered the mysteries of the universe. However, when his beloved beagle is put to sleep after contracting rabies, CB experiences a tumultuous series of events that force him to confront just how far he and his friends have come from the comforts of their childhood days. His best friend is a pot-smoking philosopher, his sister is an awkward social outcast, and his ex-girlfriend is an institutionalized pyromaniac. His social circle also includes a dust cloud-shrouded child turned homophobic jock, a pair of brutally discriminating mean girls, and a musical prodigy ostracized by his burgeoning sexuality.

As CB confronts the world of adulthood that lies before him, he grows to realize that he must navigate the newly treacherous terrain without the familiar comforts of the past. DOG SEES GOD shows that even for some of the most beloved of childhood characters, time forever refuses to stand still.

The cast features Marie Buck, Alexandra Dickison, Gene Gallerano, Jason Gotay, Scott Key, Lindsay Leggett, Blair Lewin, and Andy Wagner.

The production team includes Michael Sancilio (Producer), Corey Chambliss (Director), Natalie Corr (Associate Producer), Michelle Israel (Stage Manager), Nicole Grillos (Production Manager), Kyle Avery (Costume Designer), and Lois Catanzaro (Lighting Designer).

The show is set to run for three performances on Sunday, November 15th at 2pm and 8pm and Tuesday, November 17th at 8pm at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues).

5th Floor Productions is a Manhattan based theatre company that was founded in 2008 by New York University alumni Corey Chambliss and Michael Sancilio.  Their mission is to provide emerging young professionals creative opportunities in productions that put a contemporary spin on classic and modern works.
