On Sunday July 4th, 1976 three priests and two seminarians were savagely killed at St. Patricks Church in the Buenos Aires district of Belgrano. The military authorities fabricated a theory of an extremist attack, but there were signs that there had been a paramilitary group linked to the de facto government. If the ecclesiastic hierarchy supported the military coup, such an attack on to heart of the Church didnt seem to have an explanation.
El domingo 4 de Julio de 1976 tres sacerdotes y dos seminaristas fueron asesinados salvajemente en la Iglesia de San Patricio del barrio de Belgrano en Buenos Aires. Las autoridades militares elaboraron la hiptesis de un ataque extremista, pero los indicios encontrados no dejaron dudas sobre la participacin de un grupo paramilitar ligado al gobierno de facto. Si la jerarqua eclesistica haba apoyado el golpe militar, semejante ataque al corazn de la Iglesia pareca no tener explicacin. Cules fueron los motivos que llevaron a la masacre?
