A full day event bringing together our city's leaders with Vancouver's conscious community

On Sept 27th, we invite you to join us for ENGAGE!, an unprecedented event bringing together our city's leaders with influencers, organisers, entrepreneurs and activators from the Conscious Festival & Conscious Living Communities to focus our intentions for the upcoming civic elections in Vancouver.
True to our way of gathering, ENGAGE! features stellar and compelling art, music, speakers, performances, installations, ceremony, food, and dancing, not to mention the most inspirational people all around. This potent gathering will be attended by Mayor of Vancouver Gregor Robertson and several city councilors. ENGAGE! will be an incredible opportunity to dialogue with our city's leadership and hear what they have to say about their vision & plans for the next 3 years.

In Vancouver, our conscious festival/dance community has been thriving for almost two decades, encompassing a wide array of collectives, events and projects. We are a significant nexus for progressive culture in our city connecting countless creatives through our networks. As a community, we have a natural interest in supporting the continuation of Vancouver's progressive trajectory.
For the past two terms, city council has done an admirable job in meeting the challenges of a city the size and stature of Vancouver's and moving us forward in a progressive direction. Some of the initiatives we've most appreciated include: More support for community festivals and cultural events, better lanes for cyclists, introduction of food scraps into the city's recycling, expansion of food carts, support for coach/lane houses and community gardens. Importantly, they have also taken a strong stance against the Kinder Morgan pipeline, CP Rail's community garden evictions and the proposed coal terminal.
"ENGAGE!" is being created as an opportunity for our conscious festival and associated conscious living communities (ie. yoga, healing, wellness, meditation, kirtan, etc.) to step up and actively participate in determining the trajectory of our city's future. We know that within our community, there is an incredible pool of forward-thinking talent, unstoppable creativity and flourishing collaboration that is a big part of what makes Vancouver an amazing home.
"ENGAGE!" will be hosted at our home, the Inspiral Community, a collective mansion in Kerrisdale. The daytime portion of the event will feature an array of powerful speakers, including The Mayor and city councillors. In the evening, we will continue connecting and celebrating indoors to some of the best DJs this city has to offer. We are honoured to be joined at our gathering by indigenous wisdom-keepers, Chief Phil Lane Jr, Reuben George and Pulxaneeks. Rounding out this rich constellation will be inspirational Visionary Art, epic installations, 3D interactive Galaxy Class, and much more.
Your participation would be a powerful contribution to making this a most memorable event. Due to limited capacity, tickets will only be available in advance.
Funds raised will help create a larger event/campaign to engage our wider community in the run-up to the election.
