The melodies of Spanish composers such as Albeniz and Granados are reworked with the grooves of flamenco rhythms while elements of American blues, jazz, and rock are fused with the guitar sounds of Ali Farka Toure' (Mali) and the Senegalese kora. Dancers both "engage" and "move away" from traditional movements.
Note: Links Hall is a second floor walk up--there is no escalator or elevator.
