Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" at TriBeCa Grand Hotel Presented by Saturation Films
Saturation Films invites you to join us on Saturday, November 14th, at the TriBeCa Grand Hotel's luxurious 100-seat movie theater for a very special screening of Writer, Director, Producer, and Star, Tommy Wiseau's cinematic tour-du-force, "The Room". Full bar, DJ, and Live Band will make this special screening of "The Room" unforgettable!
Building on a six-year, Los Angeles cult phenomenon, "The Room" is becoming a New York City favorite as well, screening to sold-out crowds (375+) at New York's Village East Cinemas on the last Friday of every month. Now, in an exclusive engagement, Tommy Wiseau's masterpiece will be screened at TriBeCa Grand Hotel's theater on Saturday, November 14th.
Intended as a dramatic treatment of love and betrayal, "The Room", is now celebrated as a dark comedy by an underground legion of die-hard fans.
"The Room's" writer, director, producer, and star, Tommy Wiseau, has himself been gaining notoriety, as he and his film have been featured on ABC News with Charlie Gibson, Adult Swim's "Tim & Eric's Awesome Show, Great Job", FOX News Red Eye, and written about most recently in Entertainment Weekly and Time Out New York.
Tommy's personal mystique, coupled with "The Room's" ambiguous genius, is drawing celebrated comic minds to sing its praises, such as Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Kristen Bell, as well as SNL's Jason Sudeikis, and Cameron Diaz, who have both attended multiple NYC screenings. Some, like David Cross, David Wain, H. Jon Benjamin, and Morgan Murphy, have performed as openers at these showings to a theater full of surprised and thrilled fans.
