Celebrate the spirit of the season with this down-home, fun-filled Christmas concert from the award-winning creators of Broadway's Aint Nothin' But the Blues! Back Home Again is presented in the style of John Denver's popular holiday specials, and promises to transport you back in time to a place where life is simple, and sweet, and full of promise!
*****12/3/06 at 7pm is a special benefit performance for Ventura County Star newspaper's Star in Education Program. This program sends newspapers into schools and gives out scholarships to students. For this performance, tickets will be on sale for 50% off the normal rate. There will be complimentary wine and cheese served during a silent auction beginning at 5pm and a live auction will be done just before the performance at 7pm inside the theatre.

The cast is led by Wheetman himself, who performed in Denver's band for eight years, and includes Broadway favorite Jim Newman (The Who's Tommy, Steel Pier, Sunset Blvd.) and Nashville recording star Gail Bliss. Musical selections include traditional and modern Christmas carols along with such popular Denver hits as "Thank God I'm a County Boy, "Grandma's Feather Bed" and "Back Home Again."

The Rubicon Theater is in a converted church on the corner of East Main Street and Laurel in the historic downtown district of Ventura. Seating is assigned based on availability. Patron restrooms are on the basement level only acccessible via staircase only. Concessions, including wine, are served before the show and at intermission.
