The Elevating Diversity Conference: Gender and Sexual Identity seeks to bring together students, faculty, staff, and community members for a day of appreciation and learning on the importance of diversity in education, the workforce and in the community. The conference will be a "safe space" for collaboration, learning, and examining our unconscious biases to gain a deeper understanding of the various issues facing the LGBTQIA Community.
The conference will conclude with a moderated discussion and book signing with New York Times, bestselling author of Redefining Realness: My Path to Womanhood, Identity, Love and So Much More, Janet Mock.
Conference will begin at 1:00PM in Library Community Room (L109) Moderated Discussion will begin at 5:00PM in Recital Hall (MU720)
